For the past ten years, Morgan has been teaching ranch horse clinics across the U.S. and internationally. Her teaching journey began as she would travel to clinics with her trainers and work as an assistant. She was then trained through the Texas A&M University Summer Horsemanship Program, which later led to an opportunity to teach abroad in multiple locations across Germany. Morgan has taught for multiple associations including Stock Horse of Texas, American Stock Horse Association, National Versatility Ranch Horse Association, multiple 4-H groups, open shows, and private groups. She continued to hone her teaching skills while at Texas A&M and Laramie County Community College. In 2023, Morgan also became a certified instructor through Certified Horsemanship Association. By constantly learning herself, Morgan strives to bring the best experience that she can provide to her clients.
It is one of Morgan’s personal goals to help others leave feeling like they learned something that they feel confident enough to go home and work on. A positive experience for both the horse and the rider is vital for both to grow. Morgan makes an extra effort to meet each rider where they are at, and recognize accomplishments as they come. Morgan has helped riders and horses at all levels achieve success, and wants to make sure that all riders feel welcomed and encouraged after working with her.
Some of Morgan’s favorite topics to cover include: cow work (fence work and boxing), ranch horse and ranch versatility events, reining and pattern precision, ranch riding, ranch trail, rider confidence, horse show preparation, mental toughness in the show pen, and learning from a judge’s perspective. Some activities would include flying lead changes, sliding stops, reining spins, working a flag or mechanical cow, improving collection and transitions, and improving rider seat and leg cues.
